Master in Economic Analysis
This two-year degree comprises the first part of the Graduate Program in Economics, which consist of a two-year Master’s degree and a two-year PhD Program in Economics.
The program is entirely run in English, and incoming students will be required to demonstrate an adequate level of written and spoken English.
The primary goals of the Master's Program are to:
- Give students the necessary skills and tools to do high quality economic research.
- Prepare students to pursue a PhD in Economics.
- Contribute to the academic reforms set forth by the European Higher Education Area to promote Research, Development and Innovation in Europe.
- Foster intellectual growth within the Department's research community.
The Department of Economics guarantees full financial aid for all entering students for the duration of their studies (conditional on satisfactory academic performance).
After completing the Master in Economic Analysis, those students who perform well and pass qualifying examinations in the three major fields (macroeconomics, microeconomics, and econometrics) are admitted to the PhD Program in Economics.
